- Appropriate Ground floor rooms are available at most residence sites and arrangements can be made for hearing-impaired students. Students who have mental health difficulties may spend their whole time at University in residential accommodation if this is recommended on medical grounds.
- A number of rooms in the Singleton Campus Residences have been adapted for the use of students who use a wheelchair or are visually impaired. Facilities for guide dogs are located within the residences complex.
- Partially sighted students may also be housed at the Student Village and Beck House.
- An en-suite room in Beck House is also designed for a wheelchair user.
- At most residences it is also possible to provide adjacent rooms for care assistants.
