Sports Science
The Sport and Exercise Science Research Centre (SESRC) has an excellent reputation at home and abroad for teaching and research.
The SESRC maintains high-quality sports science laboratories (biomechanics, physiology, psychology, notational analysis) and computer-assisted learning laboratories. In addition, the centre utilises other top-rated facilities in the University including the Sports Centre and the new 50m Wales International Pool . The BSc Sports Science course is very popular and there are currently in the region of 200 full-time students on the course with similar numbers of female and male students.
In addition to teaching, the centre undertakes research and consultancy in applied sports science and the number of postgraduate research students increases annually.
